Imprinted Concrete Cleaning and Sealing

Pattern Imprinted Concrete (also known as Pressed Concrete or Stamped Concrete) is potentially the hardest-wearing surface that you can have for a driveway, patio or path but unfortunately, that doesn’t mean they are maintenance free!

They require less maintenance than block paving but they are sealed when first laid and do need re-sealing every 3 to 5 years to protect them and show them at their best.

If the surface hasn’t been re-sealed every few years then there can be colour loss and the surface may look patchy, even when wet. If this is the case, we can use a Sealer tint in the colour that the driveway should be to replenish the colour.

Our procedure to give you a driveway or patio to be proud of again is as follows:

·      Pressure wash the area using our petrol-engined pressure washer, which cleans far more effectively than the typical unit a homeowner might use

·         Leave the area a few days to completely dry out

·     Apply two coats of Smartseal™ Imprinted Concrete Sealer possibly including a colour tint only if required to replenish the colour

·         In the top coat of sealer we always recommend an Anti-slip agent because these surfaces are smooth and can be slippery. The Anti-slip puts a slight texture on the surface which gives valuable grip to people walking across the surface
